Social transformation through art, heritage and culture

The vision of Journey of Hope is to use creativity and the arts for social transformation across the “3 towns” – Saltcoats, Stevenston & Ardrossan. We recognise that the arts and culture are agents of change for both individual and collective well-being. We aim to use the transformative power of art to bring community cohesion and placemaking to see economic regeneration to the North Ayrshire region. 

In order to facilitate this, Journey of Hope incorporates three individual strands:

Arts – The 3 Town Arts Wave 

Seeks to stimulate social transformation through supporting tourism and economic growth by showcasing different creative disciplines. Delivering arts and cultural programs such as dance, film, literature, poetry, theatre, music, visual arts, conceptual art and folk expressions of all kinds, food and craft, history and heritage, storytelling, architecture, and many more.

Heritage - The Living Room

A community hub and café celebrating good food and community operating out of a repurposed building.

Culture – Refresh 

Creating a culture of health through wellbeing initiatives which represent and support an increased quality of life.
